Quick poll: Are you team read then watch or watch then read?

I’m usually team read then watch but a friend made a great counter argument for watching then reading and I think she might be on to something 👀

Regardless, nothing goes quite so well together as books and movies! Today is the last day of Lost Weekend here at the Alamo Drafthouse. You can find us in the lobby with some movie/show themed books alongside a silent auction to benefit Valley Health’s Stronger Together Foundation 💙

Join us today from 2-4 to meet local author Dove the Storyteller 🤩

You can also purchase a signed copy of her epic fantasy novel Uritus and the Sword of Fire!!

🩵 Blind dates are back! 🩵

The theme: love at first line! Along with a short summary, you’ll see the first line of each book. We all know we’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover… but how about its first sentence??

As a fun little game, we have a matching challenge at the end for you! Can you match some of these famous first lines to their respective titles?

We had the sweetest visitor this past weekend! 🐾

Meet ✨Tinkerbell✨

Tinkerbell got to hang out up front with us while her foster family picked out some books! If we could have a shop cat, we’d hire her in a heartbeat!

If you’re looking for a new furry reading buddy, you can inquire about Tinkerbell and other four-legged friends 💕
