MSR update.
Tomorrow night is open practice for the Hypercars ,for what could be the biggest
race of the year. We’ve got NSR and Scale Auto Hypercars on the track at the same time!! Gates open at 4 PM for everyone. The big question is, who’s faster, the NSR's or the Scale Auto Hypercars? We’re building toward the huge teams race at the end of September, with top drivers coming in from all over the country. These Hypercars could very well be the fastest machines ever to rip around our 192 foot monster track. We’ve got two Thursdays left before we switch to regular hours: Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays from 4 to 8, and Saturdays noon to 5. Keep tuned in for more updates. Don’t miss it, this one is gonna get wild!! You knew it was coming!!

The First Annual Rice Tree Service MSR Mod Mayhem 240 is in the books and what a race it was. After the first half Curt and Dave P and Stu and Scotty were tied on top at 91, with Duane and George sitting 3rd at 88. But the second half was all about the comeback. Duane and George dropped a 97 in the back half to storm back and take the win with 185 combined. The long awaited 1st ANNUAL RICE TREE SERVICE MSR MOD MAYHEM 240 race is in the books. This race day started at 8:00 am and ended in the early afternoon. Here is how it went down. A little fun early,drawing up teams! The 2 man teams was fun.

MSR UPDATE 1
The long awaited RICE TREE SERVICE MSR MOD MAYAM race is in the books!!! What a day it was!! Before I get into the how the race went down, MSR wants to say a few things. All this fun we have here at MSR wouldn't be possible without the racers,and everyone that helps out!! We do have a great family here where everyone is willing to do what needs to be done to make it our race home . I could go on and list names but it's everyone really,and I ,MSR thanks everyone!! I would like to special thank Stu Rice for being the official sponsor of this annual MSR MOD event,and Jessica and Hank for laying out a spread of food that kept everyone smiling

MSR UPDATE
The MSR MODS were in town for their last open practice and tuning day before the big day Sat the 29th!!The Rice Tree service MSR MOD Mayhem 240!!!! I can't even begin to say who has the edge. I can start with some top names like Stu Rice,Hank Prouty,Duane Jarvis, Chuck mcmaan, Lantz Cook, Joey Holmes, Ken Diley, Curt Ostrander, are just a few that could win it all!! On the rookie side ,John Gregg, George Bingham, Owen Hinkston, Scotty Mackenzie, Dale Mackenzie, and we cant forget Rhonda and John James!! and many more making a name for themselves. With the team draw starting at 9am,the suspense will finally be over and the teams revealed!! Gates open at 8am. Racing starts atb10. MSR will be braidcasting live so don't forget to check in!!.

MSR UPDATE:

The wait is almost over for one of the biggest MSRS races of the year the Rice Tree Service MSR MOD 240!!!

EVENT: MSR MOD MAYHEM 240. 1st Annual.

WHERE: MSR RACING, 55 Main Street, Windsor, VT 05089

WHEN: Sat August 29th , All day event!

Other Details:

Open MOD practice Friday August 28th 5pm to 10pm

Entry Fee = $50.00 (inlcudes breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks).

Drawings on the hour to win fun stuff

1st = 2 Scale auto Porsches

2nd = 2 Sloting plus cars

3rd = Pizza Chef gift certificate

Going to be a fun action-packed day!!

Car Rules: Cars are to be “as” purchased with some changes allowed. Visual untouched. All bumpers, rub rails, wings, air filters, ex popes, dashboard.

Exemptions include: Guide, braid, may be changed

Drive: Stock motors, 9t pinion, and 27t ring gear mandatory, Stock axles a must but can be shortened and polished.

Wheels and Tires: Stock alum wheels, and stock tires must be used. Fronts to be plastic, blue or black MSR. Rears to be MSR silicone blue, black, gray, MSR silicone. Tires can be glued and trued.

Weight: Weight to be not under100 grams.

Width: Max width 3.100 front and rear. To be checked with MSR tire width gage.



Race Day: 8AM to 9AM, cars to be all placed on white tech table with names taped to bottom of chassis. Teams to be drawn and races set to start at 10am. All cars will be Dyno tested for an average. 5% over median will be allowed. If over motor will be changed.

The Race: Each driver will run 120 laps to finish the MSR MOD 240!!

First leg being 40 laps, 5 laps per lanex8=40. If a wreck occurs, the driver will be removed. Both team drivers will do the same. Lunch will be after completion.

The next leg will be 10 laps with spotters 10x8=80 laps. Until both teams have completed the MSR MOD 240!!! With many top drivers registered for this even, and the draw for team, this championship is wide open!!!

Combined team laps will be 240 each team member completing 120 laps.

Final Rule: There will be no pause for the day. All work must be done under green. In case of breakdown, team mate may use partners car. Otherwise it must be fixed.

MSR UPDATE
After the finish of the MSR MODS practice race tonight it's still not clear who is really going to dominate on Aug 29th!! Top drivers are here and. No one is giving an inch !! Last week,it looked like Lantz Cook had found his way around the MSR monster and no one was going to come close to his #75 MOD. . Fast forward to this week. Stu Rice took his red roller mod to victory in both rounds and showed us all how to roll!! . Duane Jarvis came in 2nd but had 0 for Stu overall. Jason Tetu ran his green.machine to 3rd overall tonight! Lantz Cook grabbed 4th, Hank.Prouty got his 24 mod to a tie for 5th with Ken Diley. Curt Ostrander locked up 7th. Chuck mcmaan ,Jeff Grela, scotty Mackenzie, Dale Mackenzie, John Gregg all ran great tonight!!! Can't wait for the RICE TREE SERVICE MSR MOD race on Aug 28,29th,it's gonna be epic!!!
