🛤️ Historical Context:
The D&RGW, or "Rio Grande," was famed for its scenic narrow-gauge routes through Colorado mountains. The San Juan was its flagship passenger train, offering first-class service between Alamosa and Durango until 1951. These models faithfully reflect the late 1930s to 1940s era, when many cars were upgraded with electric lighting, steam heat, and improved seating.
