People are spending hours trying to pull together lists of Sales Along Hwy 84 this week from Facebook posts.
You know what I found?
20 reels, 15 blurry photos of neon signs, and a Google Maps link buried in a comment from three days ago.
We’re talking roughly 400 miles of sales. More than 300 vendors at ONE stop in Jena alone.
And there’s no simple way to pull it all together and see it on one map.
This is exactly why I think a lot of apps are going to become less important once AI agents really take off.
We shouldn’t need four different apps just to find a yard sale, Facebook to find the post, Maps to figure out where it is, Messenger to ask if it’s still happening, then back to Facebook to find the next one.
What we need is one agent that says:
“Here’s every sale along Hwy 84 this week. Here’s what’s at each stop. Here’s your route.”
Facebook has had years to build something like that, an AI that gathers all this scattered information and coordinates it for us. They haven’t.
An AI agent could take the same messy information we’re digging through manually and organize it into something actually useful in minutes.
That’s going to change the way we junk hunt and probably sooner than most people think.
If you’re hitting Sales Along 84 September 10–12, look for the yellow balloons.
Maybe it’s time we stopped waiting for Facebook to fix the problem and started asking for a better tool entirely.
