Spring 2021 US Sherpa will be unveiling a new line of finer-gauge knits and a new logo with the Everest skyline on top and the outline of Vermont's highest peak, Mt. Mansfield, on the bottom. Red representing the national color of Nepal, Green representing Vermont and the green mountains, Blue, symbolizing US Sherpa— where the Himalayas and Green Mountains meet.

On August 26th entire villages were swept away by a flash flood along the Bhote Kosi and Trishuli rivers. Hundreds of lives were lost and thousands remain missing. Our hearts go out to the people of Nepal and all those affected by this most recent disaster. The Prime Minister of Nepal has set up this disaster relief fund and all proceeds go directly to the victims and helping rebuild the areas that were hardest hit. These are photos from our Langtang National Park, Yala peak trek in April 2026 just 4 months ago. We visited and experienced some of the absolutely stunning landscapes and natural beauty where we stayed a mountain valley lodge along side the Trisuli River, hung out by the river in natural hot spring, witnessed incredible waterfalls then celebrated Nepali New Year by the Langtang River with bon fire and food with amazing company.
Now this new massive flooding has wiped out so many of the local people’s livelihoods and also suffered tragic human losses.
Our hearts are filled with sadness for the families and victims impacted by this massive flash floods. We pray for everyone affected and much love to people in Nepal! Please show your love and support however you can during this tragic event.

Sad to hear about the devastating flood in the Langtang Valley and along the Trishuli River. We were in Syabrubesi at the start of our trek in April and we can’t imagine what the community is going through. Our thoughts are with all those affected.
