It’s truly been an awesome month so far ( save for the little “ accident” on my motorcycle….but I digress…)
Three Peart tribute kits set up ( and played) by myself and the marvelous Marco …even if the drum building business is on hiatus, we can still do drum stuff!

Sometimes you just need a side piece. These 12” x 6.5” soprano snares are ready to rip. Five ply white oak with rustic oak veneer, ( this one cuts like a knife, but it feels so right)...and four ply walnut with ziricote. ( like a warm punch to the midsection with a velvet boxing glove).

FINALLY!!! Assembly took forever, but well worth it. Tried to keep the vibe all “ Radio King”...some old , some new, But all sexy. Specs are as follows:
NOS Nashville Radio king Single ply maple shell ( huge thanks to Daniel Grabski and Daytona Beach Drum Center)
Hand rubbed beeswax and oil finish
Chrome Die Cast Hoops
Slingerland reproduction Throw and butt
Brass reproduction “ beaver tail” lugs
NOS Nashville cloud badge

doing my best to recreate a Nashville era Slingerland Radio King... virgin NOS shell was provided by Daytona Beach Drum Center... should be finished early next week... stay tuned. ( see what I did there?)
