SOBO Art Gallery recently held a summer camp for children with the theme “Garden to Gallery”. They asked Betty J's for flowers for the children to paint. Since we were at one point children ourselves, and have a soft spot for youngsters, we were happy to help. Not only did the students draw and paint pictures of the flowers, but used the flowers themselves as paintbrushes to allow their inner Picasso out. This must have been fun and exciting. Maybe we should try that in the shop!

The words used were "gorgeous," "breathtaking", and "overwhelmingly beautiful". So our birthday girl's satisfaction with the flower arrangements make the (what seemed like a half mile hike) from the loading zone to the party room at the Four Seasons Resort worthwhile. The arrangements included burgundy ranunculus, pink and white garden roses, white panda anemones and more.

Oh what a class! From swirled roses to origami leaf pods and several other challenging techniques, these folks rose to the occasion and created some true masterpieces tonight! Thank you Sandie for creating such a unique design that made for a wonderful creative journey for all those participating. Betty J’s design table is available for classes for groups of 6-15, so call a few friends and let’s compare schedules.
