The Mead team had such a pleasure attending Winter Park Outlook today, hosted by the Winter Park Chamber!

We had the opportunity to hear from a wonderful panel featuring the Honorable Jeff Kottkamp, President & CEO of Florida TaxWatch and former Lieutenant Governor of the State of Florida; the Honorable Scott Randolph, Orange County Tax Collector; and Randy Knight, City Manager of the City of Winter Park.

We always love the opportunity to learn, connect, and spend time with our wonderful community partners and friends. Thank you to the Winter Park Chamber for hosting such a lovely and insightful event! We’re grateful to be part of such an engaged and connected Winter Park community. 💚💙

Step into the Sherwood Forest where Mead Botanical Garden becomes the setting for the legendary tale of Robin Hood! 🌿🎭

This is a 5 CLASS SERIES where children will learn about storytelling, playwriting, and performance as we bring this tale of justice, outlaws, and adventure to life! Using a mixture of existing scripts, songs, and original material, students will create and perform their own version of Robin Hood outside in the garden.

When: Sundays from 9:30am–Noon
- October 11
- October 18
- October 25
- November 1
- November 8 (Performance at 11:30am)
    
Class Rehearsals: 9:30am- noon
Performance: Sunday, November at 8th at 11:30am

Cost: $150 (5 class series) (REGISTER through the link in our bio)

Age: 8–12 years old (parent/guardians are not required to stay onsite)

THIS SUNDAY join us for a deeply restorative Sound Bath experience held in the Azalea Lodge at Mead Botanical Garden! Guests will be immersed into the soothing sounds and vibrations of crystal singing bowls, flutes, and other resonant instruments designed to calm the mind, relax the body, and nourish the spirit. This meditative experience offers a chance to slow down, breathe deeply, and reconnect with yourself through the power of healing sound and softness.

Program: Sound Bath at the Garden

Instructor: Emma Koi, Magnolia Yoga & Wellness Center

Date: Select Sundays - September 20, October 25, November 22

Program Time: 4:00 - 5:00 P.M. (Please arrive 10 minutes prior to class.)

Location: Azalea Lodge, Mead Botanical Garden, 1300 S. Denning Drive Winter Park, FL

What to Bring: A yoga mat and water. Blankets and pillows are welcome too. ( A limited supply of extra yoga mats are available to borrow if needed.)

Join our Young Naturalist Explorers on Saturday, October 3, from 9:30–11:00AM for an adventure in Florida’s Geology 🌿🔎! Participants will learn techniques for rockhounding, special properties of rocks, dig for fossils, and go creek combing. This class will include indoor and outdoor activities with the option of wading in the stream.

What to bring? Water, towel, sunscreen, water clothes & shoes, and of course your sense of curiosity.

A heartfelt thank you to Orange Appeal for hosting such an inspiring and empowering event. We had the privilege of hearing from amazing speakers, learning from their experiences, and connecting with a wonderful community of women who continue to inspire and uplift one another.
