We've been nominated for Best Place to Buy a Gift in Winter Park Winter Park Chamber for the FIFTH year in a row — and this time, instead of just yelling VOTE FOR US!!! (although… please do 😂), I want to tell you why this one would mean so much.
When you shop at Cami Monet, you're buying from an actual, real-life local artist. A lot of what you see in the shop started as a blank piece of paper and a cup of coffee at my desk (conveniently located in my children's playroom) just a few miles down the road.
We also work incredibly hard to fill the shop with things you can't find everywhere else — including SO many things from other small makers. Gifts that make you laugh out loud. Things you immediately know your sister NEEDS. (The amount of inside jokes we are privy to is THE BEST.) Something for every age and every occasion. (But actually.) And most importantly, things that make you genuinely, obnoxiously happy.
But the biggest reason I think we deserve your vote? Our team. 💗 (Love you, Amber and Ali!!)
You tell us ALL THE TIME how amazing they are, and y'all — I agree. They know you. They know your kids. We've celebrated birthdays, babies, weddings, new houses and a shocking number of random Tuesday dinner parties with you. They genuinely light up when they get to help you build the most ridiculously fun tablescape or find the exact right card.
And somewhere along the way, this tiny shop has become a place for community, friendships and FUN. Not my words — YOURS. And that might be my favorite thing we've built.
Because that's what I want Winter Park to keep being.
Interesting. Local. Creative. Charming. A little weird. Really fun. Full of places you can't find in every other city.
