Geek in Stitches I create a variety of mixed media artwork including quilted acrylic painted artwork (LGBT themed, Pi I am a one Geek shop! Geeky crafting in process!

I design and created wide assortment of both Georgia themes and LGBT themed inclusive items. I work in both fabrics and acrylic canvases. My acrylic artwork is not just painted. I paint, cut and assemble my acrylic canvases just like traditional fabric quilting. I guarantee that you will find very unique one of a kind creations. s on the theme Y'all Means All. I build all of my frames by hand with a miter saw, which means I am not constrained by specific sized artwork. It's not all glamorous. Unveiling the new canopy! I've finally got all of the parts for my new professional grade all steel canopy, featuring vaulted ceiling and fewer cross bars. It takes longer to assemble, so I'll likely not use it until Candler Park Fall Fest, but that depends on the weather forecast.

It's a time lapse! The rainbow is created from 12 acrylic painted canvases that takes 8-10 days from prep to paint. The pieces are cut, sewn together, and in set into the background canvas after the shape is cut out. It's all 1 layer. This is the quilting process where I free motion quilt along all of the lines. There are also two layers of glossy varnish. Once you puncture an acrylic painted canvas with a needle, the holes are permanent so you have to be perfect for the first time through!
