Also known as pie pumpkins, did you know this is actually a varyieyy called “Hubbard”? They are one of the best options for making pumpkin pies because they contain the most flesh.

🎃 Did you know that a lot of the labeled “Pumpkin Purée” cans at the grocery store aren’t actually pumpkin, but butternut squash? These are homegrown by us so we know how yummy they are. 😉

It’s so easy to make your own pumpkin purée, and the best part is, you know exactly where it came from, us! 🙋🏻‍♀️ Plus, you can use this simple purée for almost anything! Homemade pumpkin spice lattes, pumpkin pie, cookies, bread, soup, pudding, hummus… the list goes on! Let’s get into the ingredients and method.

INGREDIENTS:
1. One pumpkin, that’s it! we have our own, homegrown ones in the market now!

METHOD:
1. Cut pumpkin in half, take out the seeds (SAVE THESE! You can roast them for a little snack 😍), put on lined baking sheet, cut side down.
2. Bake at 350-375 degrees for about an hour, maybe longer, just bake until it’s fork tender. Take out and let cool.
3. After it’s cooled, cut into sections and cut the pumpkin flesh off of the skin. You might get lucky and be able to just pull the skin off! Be careful not to cut yourself here.
4. Add flesh to blender, blend!

There you go! Now you’ve got yourself a bunch of pumpkin purée ready for your Thanksgiving treats!sh
