Happy Spring! Luckily this mess has melted off but what a bummer way to wake up to spring. Being that it’s therapy Thursday, I hope the longer days, increased sunshine and the earth coming back to life is perking your mood up. Winter is a long meh season that really drags people down. I like to think of spring as hope and I hope it feels that way for you! Let’s come out of the winter funk strong this season 🌷 🌸

It’s therapy Thursday! If you’re like anyone I know, this winter is taking a toll on you. It’s been really cold, really snowy everywhere except for where I live and meh. Good news is that spring is coming soon! In the meantime, on these sunny days, sit in the sunshine and soak it up. Try to get outside got some fresh air and keep up with your vitamin d. And count down the days until spring 🌷

It’s therapy Thursday and I know a lot of us are like ‘yikes’ to all that’s going on. Many of my clients are definitely feeling this way and I want to share what I’ve been telling them. Please stop doom watching the news; I swear that causes so much unnecessary fear. Are things uncertain right now? Yep but stressing about it will not change what’s happening. Please stop doom scrolling for the same reasons. What is happening will not somehow get better because you watched all the news and reposted all the things. What will happen is your mental health will suffer and you feel so overwhelmed with negativity. Focus on what happens in your four walls, how you treat other people and focus on the positives out there. Control the things you can control and your coping skills will improve 💗

It’s our 20th anniversary today! We’ve created a wonderful life but let me tell you it’s been work. There have been rough days and even rough years but we made a commitment (my momma didn’t raise no quitter) to not give up. I think too many people give up quickly as soon as something isn’t perfect - marriage is work plain and simple but it’s worth it Its not the lifetime love stories, its not Instagram perfect but you know you found your person when you can get through the struggles as a team.

It’s therapy Thursday and Dove gets it! It would be so easy to let the hard days win sometimes but it’s just not worth it. When we do that, we’re at risk of becoming depressed and feeling like we can’t win. And that’s no bueno. Keep fighting on those dads because you’re fighting for your mental health 💗
