Hello friends, I just wanted to make a short post clarifying that Utah Knife Works has been in business for over 20 years with a web presence, and is not to be confused with Utah Knife Shop, a different business that also deals with knives.

Our biggest focus is on the offering of the Russon Tracker Knife, a unique and highly recognized survival knife designed by my father, Robb Russon, back in 1981. Please check out my website (www.utahknifeworks.com), which includes a link to an hour-long YouTube video where I interview my father about his adventures in designing this knife, and the tragic story that followed where credit for his design was taken by someone else and made famous.

Thank you to all of the loyal followers of my site and purchasers of my products over the years. This allows me to offer more and more new designs.

Utah Knife Works has two new folding knives available! The Jaguar has a long, pointed blade, and the Orca features a wider stout blade in either green or black with black blade coating. Both are ceramic-bearing quick-open knives made with D2 steel for holding a fantastic edge!

Hello, knife friends and fiends! I am happy to announce that the new original Russon Tracker knife is now available. After 6 months in production, I finally have product ready to ship.

The knife is fully CNC-machined for a precise finish and balance. The D2 tool steel used for the blade makes it a chopping beast that will hold an edge for a good long time.

The new modular Kydex sheath can be adapted to carry vertically on the belt, or horizontally on the back of the belt for both left and right-handed users.

I've got some new variations on my Python medium-sized bushcraft knife. Custom Kydex & leather sheath and 1/2" ferror rod for firestarting. Also have a piggyback Kydex sheath for the Bobcat and Quail knives. That way you can carry a hunting knife and a bird & trout knife in the same package!

I finally got to see the second half of the new "Dune" movie, after nearly a 3-year wait! I went on a weekday to a matinee, so I was literally the only person in the theater! Yeah, pathetic. But it was awesome, and I can say that Denis Villeneuve really pulled it off--the third theatrical release of the famous sci-fi book from 1965 that actually matched my own visual interpretation of this monumental and complicated sci-fi story. I think I've read the book about 6 or 7 times. I read it for the first time in Jr. High, and I don't think I was quite ready for it.

WARNING: first, you HAVE to see the first part before watching the second part. Second, you probably still won't truly understand this film unless you've read the book.

After the first film, I created this replica of the Fremen fighting knife, the Crysknife. However, unlike the pervasive resin or 3D-printed replicas, this one is functional, made of carbon steel and a cast aluminum handle.
