Step aside Connecticut meteorologists… Chester Copperpot has claimed the front door of Mystic Pines Candle Co. as his magick portal to the world, and from this sacred threshold he delivers both weather updates… and demands for attention.

Friday Forecast ~ “Humidity & Snacks Required” ~ High: 70° Low: 60°
Today’s skies are sticky, the kind of humid that makes your hair rebel. Chester recommends belly rubs every hour to prevent tempers from flaring. He will be stationed at the magick door, snorting at passersby until someone brings him snacks.
Shoppe will open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm

Saturday Forecast ~ “Cloudy with a Chance of Bulldog Drama” ~ High: 77° Low: 57°
Expect partly cloudy skies, occasional side‑eye, and one bulldog who insists the weather is “too damp for his delicate constitution.” Chester will still be at the magick door, judging footwear choices and demanding visitors.
Shoppe will be open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm

Sunday Forecast ~ “Rain? Sunshine? Who Cares…I’m Still the Attraction” ~ High: 77° Low: 56°
The weather may wiggle between drizzle and brightness, but Chester insists the real attraction is him. He will sit at the Magick Door like a gargoyle who’s discovered sarcasm, urging fans to stop in before or in-between one of his twelve naps.

And while Chester plays doorman, Christina will be handcrafting artisan candles, each one a spell of light… Christopher will be creating on-the-spot custom magnets, and sublimated Halloween gifts and decor.

For August, the highlighted rescue is Beagle Lovers & Rescuers, whose work Chester honors deeply.

After all, he too was rescued from a harrowing fate… and now?

“Behold my splendor and glory,” he grumbles. I run a candle empire. Well… sort of. But I DO rule this door!”

Thank you to everyone who joined us yesterday for Cosmic Cat’s Summer Psychic Fair at Taylor Brooke Winery ~ what an absolutely sparked-up, sun‑soaked kind of day. 🍷

The heat and humidity was high, but so were the good-vibes… and the messages from spirit added just the right touch of wonder without floating us off into the clouds! ☁️✨🌞

Every vendor brought something special, every guest added their own bit of magic, and together it felt like Woodstock had its own little pocket of summertime enchantment. 🌟

To everyone who stopped by our table… familiar faces we adore and brand‑new friends we’re so grateful to have met ~ your presence truly meant the world to us. Those connections, those moments, those shared stories… that’s the real magic! 💞

Happy Friday, peasants of the Copperpot Kingdom!

Chester has declared today and tomorrow a most auspicious day for visitation ~ he would love to see his loyal fans.

Please know that Mystic Pines Candle Co., is open until 5 pm today, and again Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

On Sunday, however… the Bulldog throne rests… but fear not!

My parents will be at Taylor Brook Winery in Woodstock, CT, basking in the Cosmic Cat’s Summer Psychic Fair from noon until 5 pm.

So go forth, receive your fortunes, sip your wine, and know that Chester’s cheeky blessings follow you there on Sunday!

Hey pals, it’s me…Chester Copperpot. The one holding this whole candle empire together while Christina pretends she’s in charge.

Listen, I’m tired of just supervising wicks, wax and snacks. So I have a question for you…

What types of classes/workshops do you all actually want to see offered here at Mystic Pines Candle Co?

Besom Crafting? Candle Magick? Ceromancy? (Candle wax reading) Crystal Grids and Divination Boards Workshops? Incense Crafting? Palm-Reading Instruction? Paint Nights? Pottery? Reiki Certification? Tea Leaf Reading? Witch Bells? Spell Jars? Witchy Spell Jars with Bells?? Storytelling? Bulldog yoga and nap meditation (see what I did there 😉)?

Don’t be shy… I’ve heard worse ideas.

And if you know someone who’s got skills worth sharing ~ artists, authors, crafters, storytellers, or just someone who can keep me awake longer than five minutes, toss their name like a chew-toy (but in a positive and productive way!) in the comments or send us a private message.

I may roll my eyes, but I do appreciate you snack and belly rub providers. Without you, I’d just be a wrinkly little guy snoring in a candle shoppe.

You’ve heard the term “a bull in a china shop”… but how about a “Bulldog in a Candle Shoppe?” Because that’s exactly what you’ll experience the moment you step through the doors of Mystic Pines Candle Co.

Chester Copperpot doesn’t simply wander around and patrol the shoppe, he charges through it like a snorting comet of candlelight and crazy. Our shelves whisper prayers that nothing breaks. And Chester? Unfazed. Proudly barreling through his kingdom like the bulldog embodiment of magick itself.

Oh, and we failed to mention… Chester was July’s Employee of the Month.

A title he accepted with the same level of enthusiasm he gives everything: none. Not a single stub wag. Just a slow blink and a snort, as if to say, “Well, duh?!”

If you are not familiar with us, here’s where the real enchantment begins ~ we’re not your average candle company. Every candle at Mystic Pines is dressed in original hand-drawn artwork by an actual artist. Each label is hand‑cut and hand‑glued, one at a time, infused with intention, patience, and a little bit of old‑world charm.

And because our magick is rooted in compassion, a portion of the proceeds of every candle sold goes directly to animal rescue! The very mission that brought Chester, and his five ‘siblings’ before him, into our lives.

Our shoppe is open, but apparently so is Chester’s complaint department.

Welcome to Mystic Pines, where I attempt the ancient art of candle‑making… while our bulldog performs a full‑scale ritual of distraction.

Hungry? Yes.

Sleepy? Check.

Belly rub crisis? Ongoing.

Car ride petition? Noted.

Meanwhile, I’m just trying to pour wax and fill orders without being barked into submission. My days seem to be filled with 50% candle‑making and 50% bulldog negotiations… but honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way!
