My dad was in the antique mall and found a boot jack and the book explaining its origin story from Taftsville, Vermont — in two completely different booths! Wow!! Small world moments like this are part of what makes antiques and local history so special ❤️

What is it? 👀 A simple wooden crank with a surprisingly loud voice.

Used as an early emergency alarm—ranging from town watchmen and fire alerts to WWI trench gas warnings—this “clacker” could cut through chaos when nothing else could.

Tuesday–Thursday will now be the only days we accept new consignments. Larger furniture pieces must be vetted via email first. If you’re bringing smaller items, a quick email with a general description of what you plan to bring is strongly encouraged as well.

Don’t forget — consignors get MORE money at checkout! 💰

Example: if you have $100 in store credit, it turns into $110 at checkout… yes, really!! 👀
