I am saddened to hear that Juma Jackman has passed away. I was just starting to build a relationship with Juma and had a few of his pans come through here. From my dealings with him, he seemed to be a truly genuine person. I wish I had more time to get to know him and had a chance to have met him in person. His reputation was huge in the pan world and he will certainly be missed by many people. May he rest in peace and those that loved him find comfort in the gigantic impact he made in so many other lives.

Here's a video of the latest pans to come out of The Steelpan Store and this one is extra special. On top of being an unusual layout (Roseman Double Tenor), and going to one of the students in the Culture, Arts & Music Community Steelband, these mark the 100th pan that Matt has tuned and kept a record of. Congrats to Bobby on your new pan. This one was initially tuned by Juma Jackman before Matt did the final tuning here. This was the first instrument from Juma and we're happy to say he gave a great starting point and we looking forward to getting more of his instruments in the future.
