It's Virginia's largest yard sale. Held the 2nd Saturday in August of each year. The Route 11 Yard Crawl is over 43 miles of yard sales and business sales along the Old Valley Pike, U.S. There is no official starting point for the crawl, however the official crawl is from New Market (I-81 Exit 264) to Stephens City (I-81 Exit 307). You may start at any point. Visitors and local residents can find
just about anything during the Crawl to include collectibles, treasures, antiques, back-to-school items, household, books, furniture and much, much more. Several local businesses will also offer special discounts and sales to mark the event through the Route 11 Balloon Campaign. Businesses offering “Crawl Specials” will have large gold mylar balloons outside their business designating their participation. Crawl specials may include sidewalk sales; half price or BOGO free items; unique or dedicated “Crawl” food sales; give-aways; or drawings. The Yard Crawl t-shirts are collectible items with a different color featured each year. Safety is paramount during the Yard Crawl. Drivers are asked to be cautious of pedestrians crossing Route 11 throughout the day and to please pull completely off the road to park and to not block driveways. Bring water to keep hydrated and wear sunscreen and/or hats to protect your skin. The Route 11 Yard Crawl is a partnership of the Towns of Stephens City, Middletown, Strasburg, Toms Brook, Woodstock, Edinburg, Mt Jackson and New Market, the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce and the Shenandoah County Tourism Office. The Yard Crawl takes place the 2nd Saturday in August ( August 12, 2023)! www.Route11YardCrawl.org
