There’s just something special about a summer evening on the square! 🏫🧢🎸

Saturday night, this young man took the stage at Second Saturday on the Square - Woodville, TX sporting an Embry Outdoors youth hat and reminded us what small-town Texas is all about—family, community, and chasing big dreams with a guitar in hand.

We’re proud to carry Embry Outdoors, a Texas-born brand that celebrates the outdoor heritage and values we hold dear here in the Pineywoods. Seeing the next generation making memories in downtown Woodville is what it’s all about.

Small town. Big talent. Texas roots. Rock on brother!! 🤝

Apparently, we can’t identify trees. 🌳😂

What we’ve always called “the big oak tree” at Seven Gen Land Co. turned out to be… not an oak.

Then it was identified as a black walnut.

Then it was identified again.

The final verdict? An elm tree.

And not just any elm—it’s officially the 4th largest elm tree in Texas and the largest documented elm in our region.

Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you’re looking for something else entirely.

Special thanks to Texas Parks and Wildlife, Texas A&M Forestry, and SFA for helping us uncover a little piece of East Texas history hiding in plain sight.

And if giant record trees, wildlife, and wild places are your thing, stay tuned. We’re working on future conservation camps at Seven Gen Land Co. that will include hands-on learning, stewardship, and even a chance to sleep under the East Texas stars. 🌲✨
