Meet Emily!

Emily came to Goodwill Wayne & Holmes determined to build a brighter future for herself and her daughter. While facing financial challenges and working to maintain stable housing, she never lost sight of her goal of becoming a nurse.

Through our Workforce Development team's Ohio Career Launch program, Emily received support and resources to help her stay on track. All while raising her daughter, working as an STNA, and attending nursing school!

And her hard work paid off! 🎉

Emily graduated from the Wayne County Schools Career Center LPN program, earned her nursing license, and secured a new full-time nursing position! But she's not stopping there! Emily plans to continue her education and work toward becoming a Registered Nurse (RN).

"Continuing to pursue educational opportunities and learning new skills is the key to success." – Emily

We're so proud of Emily's determination, perseverance, and everything she has accomplished. Her story is a reminder that with hard work, support, and a willingness to keep learning, incredible things are possible.

In this role, you'll help keep our Industrial Services production operations running smoothly by moving materials, operating equipment, preparing workstations, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment.

Calling all Girl Scouts! 💚🦉
Good Turn Day is October 24th!

Girl Scouts are invited to do a good turn for our community by donating an item to any of our five Goodwill Wayne & Holmes locations. Each participating Girl Scout will receive a super cute Good Turn Day owl patch!

Donations can be dropped off at:
Wooster | Orrville | Rittman | Loudonville | Millersburg

Your donations help support Goodwill programs and services that create opportunities for people right here in our local community.

Troops must RSVP in advance to ensure each Girl Scout receives a patch. Please email [email protected] to RSVP your troop. We can’t wait to see our local Girl Scouts doing a Good Turn on October 24th!

Meet Shirley!

When Shirley first connected with Goodwill Wayne & Holmes, she was facing unemployment and homelessness. But she was determined to create a more stable future for herself and ready to put in the work to get there.

Through our Workforce Development team, Shirley received support with her resume and cover letter, job searching, work shoes, clothing, and other resources to help remove barriers along the way.

Her determination paid off! Shirley secured a temporary position at a local hospital, where her hard work and reliability stood out. After completing her probationary period, she was offered the opportunity to stay permanently. While working, she continued toward another major goal, securing a place of her own.

Today, Shirley is employed and living independently!

Shirley’s story is a reminder of what can happen when determination meets opportunity and support. We’re so proud of how far she has come and everything she has accomplished. Keep going, Shirley! 💙

We had the pleasure of welcoming Hope Johnson, Sr. Director of Donated Goods Retail at Goodwill Acadiana in Louisiana, to Goodwill Wayne & Holmes!

Hope spent time touring our facilities and learning more about our retail operations, staff training programs, and the many programs and services happening beyond our stores.

One of the best parts of being part of the Goodwill network is having opportunities like this to connect, collaborate, and learn from one another. We loved sharing what we do here in Wayne & Holmes Counties and exchanging ideas with a fellow Goodwill leader!

Thank you, Hope, for making the trip to Ohio and spending time with our team. We loved having you!

Whether you’re creating a costume from scratch, decorating for Halloween, or just looking for something wonderfully weird, you never know what you’ll find!

Our CEO, Dawn Cazzolli, and Marketing Coordinator, Ashlyn Schertz, had the opportunity to visit the College of Wooster’s Community Partner Fair and put students’ Goodwill knowledge to the test!

Students stopped by to play Goodwill Jeopardy, grab some candy, and learn more about what happens beyond our retail stores, from our programs and career services to the ways we support people right here in Wayne & Holmes Counties.

And to our surprise, one question didn’t stump them: everyone knew Goodwill is a nonprofit! We love to hear it!

Thank you to the College of Wooster for inviting us and giving us the chance to connect with students, share our mission, and have a little fun along the way!

Our Loudonville Goodwill store is temporarily closed due to a power outage. The current estimated restoration time is 11 AM today.
