Shining Light Thrift Shop City based non-profit thrift shop- vintage, knick-knacks, electronics, clothing, furniture. We are a clothing ministry of St.

Patrick Cathedral in downtown Harrisburg. Our thrift shop is temporarily closed, however we continue to serve men, women, and families in shelters, half-way houses, and people that come to our doors. We welcome donations of gently used or new clothes for our clients, and any monetary donations to purchase new items. Also needed are volunteers to help sort clothing and fill requests from agencies. Treating all who enter our doors with dignity and respect.

Set in the heart of Midtown Harrisburg, Shining Light Thrift Shop has been offering free and discount clothing to the city's homeless and low-income families for over 23 years. We also stock a wide range of household items, electronics, home decor, luggage, furniture, small appliances, unique and vintage items! Thanks to the help of our generous donors, you never know what you may find!

The store is an outreach ministry within St. Patrick Cathedral Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg. We partner with nearly 50 local agencies that refer those in need to the store’s program -- we serve over 1,000 individuals each year by providing free or low-cost clothing and domestic goods.
