Earlier this summer I posted a yellow cedar plank that we are turning into river tables (coffee table and two end tables). We did the deep pour today and they are beginning to look really cool. Thanks again to Bryan Allen for donating the cedar plank.

The beginnings of some auction items for the Salvation Army’s red kettle kickoff dinner the fall. Bryan Allen donated this live edge yellow cedar plank (thanks Bryan!). The plan is to make a coffee table and a couple end tables as “river tables” using some colored deep pour epoxy. It will be a fun project and hopefully make for a super fundraiser for the local Salvation Army!

Grandson Samuel received his steamer trunk made from trees in our backyard here in North Carolina. Maple and oak. I hope you enjoy it for many years Samuel!!

Finished my first “river table”. It was more of a test than anything but hopefully will get some use at the Jolly household in Deep Gap, NC. I had made the pedestal last winter. Pics from start to finish.

While delivering Gabe’s trunk, his sister Skylar wanted me to see the trunk I made for her last winter. So blessed with grandchildren!

Delivered Gabriel’s steamer trunk and he already has it in his room and in use.

The second steamer trunk for two grandsons was just stained. The one on the left is for Samuel and the one on the right is for Gabe. Both made from oak and maple trees that I cut down in our backyard. I milled them several years ago. I think they turned out really nice!

Yesterday I did a dry fit on the sides of the oak and maple steamer trunk for Gabe. Today I assembled after staining.
