So excited for on May 9th! We are at spot 35 on the map (if you’ve visited us at Backyard Art Fair last year or the year before, it’s the same place we’ve been every year), and we will be there with our friends .slowliving & . This event is rain or shine (though it will be rescheduled in the case of extreme weather), but cross your fingers for nice weather 🌤️ - I’m thinking kind of sunny and warm but not too hot with a very light breeze 🤞🤞🤞…that sounds perfect for going for a little walk or bike ride by yourself, with a friend or 2, or with your family and checking out all these great stops in Ferndale & Oak Park where you can support small handmade businesses (we are all needing it more than ever these days) & maybe even finding the perfect gifts for some of the favorite moms in your life!

, you sure know how to throw a party! Every year is fantastic, but you truly outdid yourselves for the 20th anniversary of DUCF. And wow—everyone showed up and showed out!

I’ll be honest, the past couple of years have been tough for a lot of small businesses, ours included. But seeing the crowds this weekend and watching sales happening nonstop—not just at our booth but at all the booths—gave me a much-needed dose of hope.

Running a small business isn’t easy, and there are moments when I wonder if it’s all worth it. But after a weekend this incredible, surrounded by the best customers and the most supportive creative community, I can’t imagine doing anything else.

Huge thank you to Carey & Bethany from for creating and growing this amazing crafty community over the last 20 years. I’m so grateful to be a part of it ❤️
