We offer our most hearty thanks unto all who didst journey forth and spend three wondrous days with us here in Morelandshire, as we celebrated our grand Children’s Weekend!

How magical ’twas to hear the laughter of young lads and lasses ringing merrily throughout the lanes!

But now...

The lanes lie quiet once more.

The merchants busily replenish their wares.

The villagers rest and ready themselves for what cometh next...

Yet... hark!

What sound be that upon the horizon?

CANNON FIRE?!

By the Crown...

THE PIRATES BE COMING!!!

Make ready, good gentles, for PIRATE INVASION WEEKEND, September 12th & 13th at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival!

Come ye forth for two glorious days filled with rousing tales and merry tunes of adventures upon the high seas, swashbuckling swordplay, roguish scoundrels, salty sea dogs, and revelry aplenty!

Mr. Caribbean Pirate Contest
Upon the Greek Stage
At half past two in the afternoon!

Pirate Treasure Hunt!
Gather ye at the Front Gate
At half past twelve!

So don thy finest pirate garb, gather thy crew, hoist thy colours, and make ready to invade the lanes of Morelandshire!

We would like to thank everyone who stopped by today for the opening of the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival . It was great seeing everyone today, if you couldn't make it today we will be there tomorrow and 5 more weekends (including labor day). Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Unfortunately Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival has decided that due to the amount of rain that we have received lately that they will not be opening this weekend, they have decided to push the festival opening to next weekend and extend it into the first weekend of October. The themed weekends will be the same except Celtic theme weekend will be moved to October 3rd and 4th. We will be there for all 6 weekends but not sure which vendors have prior commitments. Management has asked all vendors if they will be able to be there the extended weekend, if not they will try to find vendors to fill their buildings for that weekend.

It's almost time for the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival. Stop by this weekend and say hi, starting August 22nd and every weekend through September
We set up our inventory in our building this morning. Thanks to my brother in law Larry Hixson for helping us this morning.
