The Offset Tele received a much needed upgrade today.

I originally installed a pair of “vintage” tone pickups in it that were…well…cheap. I am always willing to give “affordable” pickups a shot and have not been disappointed too many times but, these were awful. They were thin and microphonic but, they were designed to be that way. True vintage tone with only light potting. Turns out, that is not my cup of tea at all.

Good old ToneRiders to the rescue. It now has the bite in the bridge a Tele is supposed to have and a great P90 growl from the neck. This is the 5th build I have used them in and they have yet to disappoint. 🤘

Hot Rod Strat, build number 5, was another inspired by the 50’d classic car culture.
