12/20 in yankeetown Florida is going to be the Christmas boat parade. FREE ramp and parking SATURDAY from 4pm 12/19 only to contribute to the parade and Christmas season.

PSA…. just wanted to let everyone know that the Yankeetown Marina parking lot will be closed this week. We are getting rid of the potholes and putting fresh stone down.

 the ramp is still open and it’s easy to find parking for your truck and trailer nearby.

 thanks for understanding and we are working hard at making this a great place again!

DEBRIS PICK UP:

According to a Monday afternoon Levy County Board of County Commissioners press release, the county anticipates pick up for storm debris to begin the week of Monday, Oct. 7.

Debris pick up will be throughout the county, with the exception of the City of Cedar Key. The release states the city will be managing debris pickup within the town.

Residents are asked to sort debris into the following piles near the road. The county says not to block the roadway or access to the property and never place debris on or near downed power lines.:

1. Large Appliances: Refrigerator, washer, dryer, air conditioner, stove, water heater, dishwasher. Do not leave doors unsealed or unsecured.
2. Construction Debris: Building materials, drywall, lumber, carpet, furniture, plumbing.
3. Vegetative Debris: Tree branches, leaves, logs, plants.
4. Hazardous Waste: Oil, battery, pesticide, paint, cleaning supplies.
5. Electronics: Television, computer, stereo, phone, DVD Player.

Please restrict ramp use for emergency personnel only at this time.

Private citizens doing recovery and cleanup are also welcome to use the ramp and parking lot at no charge.

Please refrain from launching boats for pleasure at the ramp for the time being to keep it open for recovery.

The Yankeetown Marina ramp is FREE to use with NO CHARGE to anybody that needs to pull boats out of the water or do cleanup or whatever it takes during this rebuilding process.

We are here to help in anyway we can and look forward to helping to bring in Yankeetown back from the storm damage. 🙏
