Did you know we sell off-the-roll Dewitt Pro landscaping fabric?! This is the good stuff, folks! We have a 4' - 5' - or 6' wide rolls and can custom cut to any length at .45 per square foot!

Did you know?! 🐝 Many bumble bees revolve around a Queen that prepares her nest while her legion of males go foraging during the daylight hours. Many male "bombas" bees don't even have stingers, and aren't even allowed in their Queen's castle!

Oh no! What's a male bumble to do when the sun sets and the gates of their castle are locked?! ⛪️ These brave knights often snuggle in for the night inside of flowers - even sometimes grouping together into little "bro huddles" 🥹

Check your gardens early in the morning to see if you can find any snoozing 😴 Today we found one having a "slow morning" in the Joe Pye w**d while his pals were already hard at work!

We have two varieties - including "Baby Joe" - a dwarf variety!

Plant some native plants, profit in pollinators ☺️🐝🦋
(feat. a bird really angry at our store cat, Kaia)
This is anise hyssop - we have 2 left in 4.5" pots at $7.99!
PLUS lots of other natives ready to support local wildlife!

*Note: lots of natives can aggressively spread, so be aware of what/where you plant! Hyssop is one of them, but they are *super easy* to pull up in the garden and they are POWERHOUSES for pollinators! There are so many different kinds of bees on this it's crazy! Pull them starting in late spring/early summer and leave the larger "clumps" to let them flower.

🦝 No Jimothy here at the Nursery, BUT if you saw our photo of our grapes yesterday - upon further investigation by Mike - here was our happy grape-drunk kit with his 3(!) other siblings! As you can see, he was completely unfazed by our prodding 🥹😅

Just a few more days in the HEAT DOME! 🥵🫠🌞 But the wildlife doesn't mind at all - there's plenty in bloom!

Here are some finds that caught our eye this week around the nursery 👀🌼 Click on the pics for pricing!

1. Our hybrid tea roses are feasting on this heat, many in their third flush! Marylin Monroe is popping off her long-lasting peachy white blooms 🌹

2. This monarch preferred the lace-cap flowers on our Proven Winner's Quick Fire Hydrangea Trees over the cone-shape of the Vanilla Strawberry variety! These trees makes for a showstopper in the midsummer landscape.

3. Daylily "Marquee Moon" has taken the stage! The ruffled creamy yellow edges against the white are so unique!

4. We still have plenty of the nativar Cheyenne Spirit Coneflower - this Squash Longhorn Cuckoo bee is obsessed - we haven't seen it go for anything else! If you're more of a fan of the straight native varieties, we still have Pale Purple Coneflower and plenty of Yellow Coneflower left in the 4.5" pot size at $7.99!

5. Last but not least - we found this lil' male two-spotted bumblebee just waking up from a snuggly night of sleep inside our Stainless Steel rose bloom this morning 🥹🐝 So stinkin' cute! They love all the varieties that finish with a fully open eye.
