SOLD! These are imaginary beetles. 🪲 I like drawing beetles and playing with the designs on their backs. Made with Posca pens, various acrylic paints and a gelli plate.

This is a Goliath beetle. 🪲 we saw them at The Field museum in Chicago. Check the comments to see a pic! I’ve finally had a string of successful pulls of this larger 8x10 gelli plate— found at Sister Trillium! I’m happy to see all of the corners staying in place. This was made using Posca pens and varied acrylic paints, pulled to 130lb cold press watercolor paper.

NEW beetle pants in the shop! They’re a wide leg linen cotton blend and size small-medium. Come in and try them on! Also featured here is a Fish Tank, printed from the rubber casting of a real fish. The Madagascan Sunset Moth (Chrysiridia rhipheus). Notice that the moth has no legs. It’s because this shows the underside of the wings. They get their amazing color from iridescent scales rather than pigments. It’s hard to believe this one is a moth! 🥰.
