Ladybug beetle! Posca pens and Amsterdam and Golden acrylics on a gelli plate and pulled to 130lb watercolor cold press paper. This one was inspired by carol-rose 🥰.

WHOA! A longer process video! This shows what I do once the beetle is drawn onto the Gelli plate. The most important thing is allowing the layers to dry fully before moving onto the next stage. All together this process takes about 24 hours, with a final overnight sit once the paper is applied to the plate. This is a real Ten Lined June Beetle (Polyphylla crinita) but with imaginary colors. Check the comments for a peek at the actual beetle. 🪲 ❤️
