Shop work is on pause today. We're having our roof replaced and I drastically underestimated how LOUD that is. I'm really sensitive to sound. (Just ask my event partner. Lol) I've been trying to work but I have to get out of here. Even with noise canceling headphones it's giving me a ridiculous amount of anxiety.

WHAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH CHEAP TAROT DECKS?🔮

We've all seen them. Those $3 or $8 decks on Temu or in mystery boxes. Let me break it down for you.

This is not commentary on your budgets. I'm not telling you what you should and shouldn't buy. I'm only giving information so you can make an informed decision.

As someone who was once a contracted author, this really grinds my gears. The artists, the creators of tarot decks receive royalty payments on legitimate sales. The authentic decks are manufactured by publishers. The cheap decks are made by counterfeiting operations. The artists receive no payments for the sales of the cheap decks. That's the major problem with these cheap decks. The thievery.

THE QUALITY

The cheap decks are printed on thin cardstock. They're considerably smaller. They do not include the extensive information booklet that the authentic decks include.

I know some decks can be pricey but I hope you do consider this information in the future. 🩶
