It's that time of the week! Rock #5 is out in the "wild" somewhere in Marion County...just waiting for you to discover it.

One of our shop artists, Mary Hall, has brought these unique handcrafted woven rocks to the Ozarks, and we're hiding them for you to find. 🌿

Based on the traditional Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, these woven rocks represent the beauty in impermanence, modesty, and the natural cycle of growth and decay. Mary’s as generous as she is talented, and she’s crafted and donated a few wrapped rocks for Lucky Star Handmade to offer to the community in the way of a scavenger hunt.

The best part is- FINDERS KEEPERS! Stop by Lucky Star Handmade with your found woven rock for an additional congratulatory gift. We’ll reveal a clue every Friday until it’s been located, so make sure you check in with us on Facebook and Instagram. Who knows…maybe you’ll discover another local gem on your hunt for this treasure!

Join us TOMORROW, August 6th from 10:00am-12:00pm for the first of a new ongoing monthly series called "Stitch Along". It's meant for stitchers of all levels of expertise to join together in community and stitch away!

Ready to tackle a new project, get some advice from seasoned stitchers, or simply gather with like-minded people engaging in craft?! You'll find yourself in excellent company here.

A belated congratulations to our wrapped rock scavenger hunters Michael Carter Mitchell and her son Caleb! Michael told us a touching story about the time spent searching for this rock with her son, and it reiterated for us a joy in what Lucky Star Handmade strives daily to provide- support for artists, our community, and for all that creativity can bring to a place we call home.

We're looking to our community for donations! 💝

Have an old (or new) sewing machine tucked away in a box somewhere? Maybe your sewing days or over or you've made an upgrade?

We're launching a monthly stitching class at the shop, and we're looking for more sewing machines to help foster a welcoming space where people can come together, learn, and express themselves. As a non-profit, accepting donations from our community reflects a shared belief in the value of art, creativity, and connection. Your generosity allows us to continue growing our mission and making a meaningful impact through the arts.
