Meet Eli, our bookstore owner for the morning! 📚✨

Eli absolutely crushed our Summer Reading Adventure, going above and beyond the required reading minutes, so today he got to take over Bound & Wrapped!

Naturally, we had to interview our newest bookstore owner. 😂

📖 Favorite book of all time:

No Summit Out of Sight by Jordan Romero

Why? Jordan became the youngest person to climb the Seven Summits, finishing at just 15 years old.
Eli says his story is incredibly inspiring!

🌎 Favorite thing about reading:

“Getting to experience different worlds and different characters’ perspectives.”

🕵️ Favorite character:

Benjamin Ripley from Spy School — because “he’s funny and a mastermind.”

📚 Book world he’d visit: Spy School

🔎 Favorite genre: Mystery!

👀 How does he choose a book?

“The summary. If it interests me, I’ll read it!”

❤️ Books he’s read more than once: I Survived series!

📕 Physical, ebook, or audio?

“PHYSICAL BOOK!”

We clearly hired the right kid. 😂

🛋️ Favorite place to read: The couch — where his mom can apparently talk directly to him and he hears absolutely nothing. 😂 He also loves reading in the car and usually needs another 10 minutes after they arrive so he can find a good stopping point.

“The young readers section would be BIGGER!”

And when we asked him the most important job of a bookstore owner?

“Coaxing people into buying books they’ll love so they keep coming back!”

📚✨ We have a VERY special bookstore owner this morning! ✨📚

One of our Summer Reading Adventure participants didn’t just meet his reading-minute goal… he went above and beyond!

So today, Eli gets to take over Bound & Wrapped Co. as our Bookstore Owner for the Morning! 🥹❤️

And this young gentleman is absolutely in his element!

He is an avid reader, loves talking books, and has been SO excited for his turn behind the scenes at the bookstore.

✈️ And we’re taking Bound & Wrapped to SCOTLAND with six community members for our first-ever Bound & Wrapped Travel Experience!

Most importantly, we found our people!

Thank you to every customer, reader, event attendee, family member and friend who has supported this little bookstore, helped behind the scenes, shared our posts, attended our crazy events and continued to show up for us.

Six months ago, we hoped Yerington would support a bookstore.

EXCUSE US WHILE WE CRY OVER MAIL. 😭📚❤️

There are some days as a small bookstore owner that just hit you right in the heart.

Today, we opened a package from Jane Healey, author of The Beantown Girls, and inside was a personally signed copy with the sweetest note thanking us for loving and supporting her book. 🥹

THIS is why we love what we do.

We get to put incredible books into readers’ hands, scream about the stories we love, support authors we believe in… and every once in a while, something like this shows up in the mail and reminds us that the bookish world is actually a pretty special little place. ❤️

Jane, thank you SO much. This absolutely made our day — and you better believe this copy is getting a special place at Bound & Wrapped. 🥰📖
