My inventory stats and my personal TBR tried to tell me to stop buying fall titles.

So what did I do?

I ignored this ridiculous advice and bought more for Roxy’s shelves anyway.

Now that they’ve officially taken up temporary residence in the book bus, I have to keep reminding myself that I chose these for you and definitely not for myself.

Which one are you grabbing first?

Because, unfortunately, I want them all.

When the local mobile bookstore girlies get a group chat, obviously we’re talking about books.

And naturally, it escalated.

5 stars may look a little different to each of us- although Kate Stewart, Rebecca Yarros, and Devney Perry seem to be an auto “add to cart” for all of us- there are a few things that are simply NOT up for debate:

1. We are obsessed with books.
2. We have opinions. Lots of them.
3. Your TBR never stood a chance.

And one final truth: turns out asking book girls to choose favs is a wildly unreasonable request… making this list was WAY harder than we thought it’d be!

Curious to see what happens when all three of us are in the same place? Let’s just say October 11th might be worth putting on your calendar. 😏

Honestly, York County… you’re pretty dang lucky to have all 3 of us. 🩷💙💛

Roxy has officially entered her fall era. 🍂📚

A few fall decorations. A few fall romances. Zero regrets about rushing the season.

Glen Rock Makers & Farmers Market, you are always the best time. 🩷 My favorite is when someone lingers on the bus to talk about plot twists and chili peppers, but then it turns into discussions about something more personal… sometimes it’s our chosen career path, sometimes it’s exchanging top vacation spots, and sometimes it’s about how reading romance has helped heal through a tough season in life. And yeah, other times it really is just about the spice. 😏

The book bus will be back at Main St. Market - Glen Rock, PA on Sunday, October 4th for another round of the Glen Rock Makers & Farmers Market and again on Wednesday, October 14th for our monthly audiobook walk. I’d love to see you there. 🫶

Fall is my favorite.

Pumpkins, sweaters, cozy nights, and snuggling up with a good book? Sign me up.

And maybe I’m rushing the fall vibes a little… but when your day job is being a school librarian, the back-to-school transition feels very much like pool days and beach reads are officially a thing of the past.

Between mom life, that day job I mentioned, and all the other chaos that comes with this time of year, I’ve been trying to be a little more intentional with my time.

So September is a little quieter for the book bus.

But don’t worry- we’re not completely hibernating this fall. 😉 Just look at October’s starting lineup.

And if you haven’t climbed on board yet, this is your sign. I’ll be giving Roxy a little fall refresh, too. Same moody, bookish vibes you know and love, just with a seasonal twist.

Come check out the shelves, find your next book boyfriend, stock up on bookish goodies, and hang out with some new- and maybe some familiar- book besties.

I’m SO excited about where Roxy is headed this fall.

What’s the best way to celebrate 10 years in business?

With vendors, carriage rides, WWII military vehicles (because Gettysburg, obviously), the opportunity to build a bottle (an activity my bourbon-loving husband was very happy to partake in 🥃), and books. Of course.

And today, we’re doing it all again- Main St Market style!

To celebrate their 4th anniversary, there will be vendors, mimosas, ice cream, and, again, of course… books.

I’ve got summer books. I’ve got fall books. I’ve got signed author plates from Laura Piper Lee and Maggie North . And I have a feeling it’s going to be a beautiful day.

Southern PA, if your TBR is looking a little vacant… I know just the thing. And by “thing,” I mean books. Obviously.

I’ve got three ridiculously good events coming up, and I’m bringing the books. The only thing missing is you…
and maybe some school supplies. 😉

📚 Stuff-a-Bus Community Donation Event- Because I love a good book, but I love helping local kids even more. (And yes, their goal is to stuff a bus. Just not Roxy.)

🥃 Mason Dixon Distillery’s 10th Anniversary Celebration- One of my favorite spots in Gettysburg + a milestone worth celebrating + books? Sounds like a pretty perfect Saturday to me.

🌻 Glen Rock Makers & Farmers Market- At this point, this one feels a little like home. 🩷

So if you’re local, come find me! Bring your TBR… or don’t. I’ll have plenty of suggestions for you.
