My garden is often a mess this time of year. Old me would have panicked at the sight of it. But I’m slowly learning that sometimes all you can do is trim the weeds back so they don’t flower, seed and spread.

I feel like this applies in so many areas, not just the garden. I’m over battling with myself that it’s not good enough if I don’t do the job 💯. Getting things under control and taking care of them when you can is better than nothing at all!

I love this time of year and the colors of mother nature are inspiring me. Some of my favorite flowers like golden rod and sunflowers are blooming against the cerulean blue of the sky. I’m not quite ready to jump entirely into fall and that’s kind of where this collection lands. It’s a bridge between late summer and fall. The in between…. Filled with yellows and blues and a touch of brown and mauve and always some pink ✨

Every year I think I’ll just add more zinnias, marigolds, salvia and cosmos so I have enough to cut for some fresh flowers inside.

But every year I just attract more and more pollinators. I’ve watched butterflies, hummingbirds, goldfinches and every kind of bee stop and take a break to feed or rest in this small slice of pollinator heaven. I’ve realized that they need it more than I do and I’m happy to share.

And if you need a bud vase for your late summer blooms, I’ve added this antique “Tapestry” vase to the website. These porcelain vases were pressed with a burlap or cloth to give it the texture you see. Hand painted florals were added on top. 🏷️Vase $32
