Altered Array digs through dark history, cryptid lore, strange encounters, morbid curiosities, unexplained phenomena, and the occasional spectacularly bad decision made by humanity.

🕯️ Here, the strange gets turned into something tangible—original artwork, books, coloring books, merch, stories, and other questionable goods inspired by the things that make you stop and say, “Wait… that actually happened?”

🦴 Expect cryptids, folklore, disturbing history, weird science, dark humor, horror, and whatever else crawls out of the rabbit hole. Some of it is legend. Some of it probably should have stayed buried.

💊🕵️What happens when the CIA combines L*D, prostitution, secret surveillance, and absolutely no ethical oversight?

Operation Midnight Climax.

During the Cold War, the CIA ran secret experiments in which s*x workers lured unsuspecting men into government-controlled safehouses. There, the men were secretly dosed with L*D while agents watched through one-way mirrors.

No consent. No warning. Just government-funded psychological experimentation disguised as a good time.

And yes, this actually happened.

Sometimes the most disturbing conspiracy theories are the ones that turned out to be true.

Years ago, my Halloween costume was literally a piece of paper pinned to my shirt that said ERROR 404: COSTUME NOT FOUND.

Fast-forward a few years, and apparently I own a business that makes questionable things like this. 💀

Same joke. Better graphics. Still no actual costume.

At night, Kawah Ijen burns blue. That’s not even the disturbing part.
Inside this Indonesian volcano, sulfur gases ignite in an eerie electric-blue glow. But while visitors come to see something that looks almost supernatural, miners descend into the crater to extract sulfur and carry massive loads back out through an environment that can be brutally dangerous.
It’s beautiful. It’s toxic. And for some people, it’s a workplace.
Welcome to one of the strangest places on Earth.
