It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for another BIY Small Business Spotlight!
This week we’re heading to Wrightsville to visit The Wild Batch Bistro! ☕🥐
I’ve actually visited both Wild Batch locations, including their second location inside Franklin Street Social in Red Lion, but this visit took me back to their original bistro in Wrightsville.
Now, I should probably start with the savory side of the menu. Breakfast sandwiches, bagels, sweet and savory crepes, and lunch options are all waiting to be tried.
But I can’t tell you about those yet.
Because I have a sweet tooth and I’m the type of person who believes in eating dessert FIRST and then saving a little room for the actual meal. That’s just how I roll. 🤣
So naturally, I headed straight for the baked goods.
Their macarons are honestly some of the BEST I’ve ever had, if not THE best. There’s always a variety of flavors to choose from, which presents the obvious problem of deciding which ones need to come home with you. My solution? Get several. 😂
I’m also a big fan of their chocolate chip cookies, and next on my list are the scones, one of the many popular goodies coming out of their bakery.
But there’s another part of The Wild Batch that makes this business especially fun to follow: the owner herself.
If you follow The Wild Batch on social media, you already know she isn’t exactly your traditional baker. 🤣
She’s done everything from crowd surfing to recreating TikTok trends and creating some of my favorite social media moments, especially when they don’t go quite according to plan.
One of my favorites was a skit where she was “arrested” because her baked goods were just THAT good. Funny idea…until people thought it was REAL and she spent weeks explaining that no, she had not actually been hauled off to jail. 🤣
And then there was a particular TikTok trend recreation featuring her and two others representing three kinds of people that, well…kind of backfired (for some people). IYKYK. 😂
Behind all the fun, though, is a local bakery turning out some seriously delicious treats, along with breakfast and lunch for those of you who apparently have enough self-control to eat your meal BEFORE dessert. 🤣
Behind the bakery is also someone who is very involved in community events, small business partnerships, and supporting others. She pours her heart and her all into what she does, and that’s something I always love seeing in our small business community. ❤️
The Wild Batch has two York County locations:
📍 The Wild Batch Bistro
120 N. 4th Street, Wrightsville
📍 The Wild Batch at Franklin Street Social
214 N. Franklin Street, Red Lion
The Red Lion location focuses more on the bakery, dessert, and coffee side, while the Wrightsville bistro offers the larger breakfast and lunch menu along with all those tempting baked goods.
So whether you’re looking for breakfast or lunch, a cup of coffee, or you’re like me and consider a macaron a perfectly reasonable appetizer, The Wild Batch is definitely one to bookmark.
And if you’ve already been, tell me your favorite thing from The Wild Batch because apparently I need to start making my way through the rest of that bakery case. 😂
As always, give The Wild Batch Bistro a like, a follow, and a try, and tell them Bookmarked in York sent you! ❤️
