With the recent tornado/microburst knocking down trees making a surplus of wood on the ground, I want to take the opportunity to share info to keep everyone informed of the difference between Seasoned and Green firewood.

Green firewood is freshly cut and contains up to 50% water by weight, making it incredibly smoky, inefficient, and dangerous to burn. In contrast, seasoned firewood has dried for 6 to 12 months, reducing its moisture content below 20% for a cleaner, hotter, and safer burn.

If you’re getting wood from the downed trees now- a good suggestion is to split and let it season. 🙏. Stay safe and if anyone needs any firewood, please reach out. I’ve been busy with the tree crew. 💗💗💗
