Happy ‘Love Your Bookshop Day’!
We are so honored, proud, and grateful to be able to share our bookstore with each of you!
It also seems the right time to acknowledge the elephant in Yukon: Barnes and Noble opening this fall.
So, here’s what we have to share:
•We have known about B&N since March
•We have not and will not change who we are or what we do, even with this knowledge
•We have and probably will continue to worry and stress (but what business owner doesn’t?)
•We have not and will not allow negative opinions to stop us, even when some say we can’t compete
•We will continue to show up each day
This isn’t a pity post.
It’s not a “come shop us or we’re leaving post”.
It’s an acknowledgement that we are aware, and that regardless of this Goliath, we choose to keep investing in Knight’s Nook, in our community, and in you.
