Hi, y’all!
So, a little transparency post:
We received almost 100 copies of Threshing Day.
Do we normally order that many of ANY book? Absolutely not.
Did we know we would get damaged books? Yes.
Did we know we would get DOZENS of damaged books? No.
What does this mean?
It means that a majority of our copies aren’t what we consider “best”, and we are settling for “good enough”. Some might say, “that’s fine!” But, the truth is, y’all, that we know how tight things are and can be, yet you still choose to support us, and if you’re spending your hard-earned money with us, we don’t believe you should be settling for damaged books.
We have shared our concerns with our Ingram rep, and we can only hope things improve, but this is the behind the scenes of book selling that isn’t fun: this, along with an order with FIFTY damaged books from earlier this week.
We can, will, and have submitted these damages, but that’s nearly 100 damaged books in just ONE WEEK that our money is tied up in until our account is credited which usually takes 4-6 weeks.
We share just to inform you, so you know that when we say we can’t order one week or another, this is why. We trusted our wholesaler with our money only to have to waste time and effort on both sides because they continue to ship poor quality items.
We only ever try to give you the best of ourselves and our items, and when we can’t, it is frustrating and disheartening.
Please know that we appreciate each of you and your understanding so very much.
