On Monday, May 3rd, the Small Business Administration has started accepting applications for its Restaurant Relief Fund (RRF). The $28.6 billion RRF provides funding to help restaurants and other food and drink businesses for revenues lost during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Your tenants may be eligible to apply for the RRF and rent is an allowable use of funds. While we are not experts and can’t answer specifics related to the RRF, we encourage all Borrowers and tenants to visit the SBA website and determine if their company is eligible.

This program provides emergency assistance for eligible restaurants, bars, and other qualifying businesses impacted by COVID-19.

Attached is additional information summarizing each section of the relief bill that Congress passed. The other document details what’s new and what has changed in regards to Restaurants and the second round of PPP funding that is being made available to them.

UPDATED 6/22

Governor Kevin Stitt announced a phased reopening plan for Oklahoma. On May 15th the state moved to Phase II. In Phase I, retail, restaurants, and personal care businesses such as salons and spas reopened. Our tenants are implementing capacity restrictions and social distancing measures to keep employees and customers safe.
