In the early 60's a bass player for a band called "Voltz" drew up a one-of-a-kind poster listing all the bands and the musicians that played in them in the Zanesville area. His name is Denny Barton. Around the year 2000, Denny taught taught guitar and worked in the music store for me. He was knowledgeable about the bands - local and nation-wide. He allowed me to display the poster in my music store so everyone could enjoy it. It would draw quite a group of musicians who would stand around reminiscing about all the bands listed, as well as those musicians enjoying seeing their name and their friends on the poster.

I promised Denny I would leave it displayed at my store as long as it was opened. As you may know, we closed Mike Ward Music Center on Saturday, June 13, 2020. I spoke to Jim Watson, owner of The Barn on Linden Avenue and he accepted the poster with great enthusiasm - willing to frame the poster and display it at The Barn. The Barn promotes live music in Zanesville more than any other place so it seemed the right place to display it. Thanks to Denny Barton and Jim Watson for allowing this one-of-a-kind piece of history to be displayed and enjoyed. Stop by The Barn and check it out.
