🦌 🎯 The good lord was looking down on us on this fine windy Sunday. Way to go Keith on this beautiful Coshocton County buck! 🎯 🦌

Keith called this morning shortly after Sunday breakfast. He said he’d taken a shot on this guy around 8:00am, waited, then tracked only to lose the blood trail shortly after. Keith felt the shot was farther back than he wanted as this buck quartered away from him. After flying for approximately 2 hours, and one battery left, Keith, his son Brady and I took to the woods and tracked on foot through the briars and underbrush to get a direction of travel. With minimal traces of blood, we had almost lost hope. We then moved locations, loaded our last battery and found him within 1 min of flying!

Thank you Keith and Brady for all your help tracking this dude down. I’m glad we didn’t give up!

Sweet sweet November! Congratulations to Zach on this Muskingum County brute!

At 5:30 PM last night I got a call from Zach. He believed he got a decent shot, but thought it was a little bit farther back than what he intended. After the nerves calmed, we decided it was best to pull out of the woods and give him some time. We flew the drone up two hours after Zach had shot and confirmed we had a BBD. 

Zach told me this was a very special moment for him. Between work schedules and being a husband and father, he doesn’t get a whole lot of opportunities to spend time in the woods, but a little afternoon sit got it done this year. Zach is a full-time firefighter/paramedic, and a US Navy veteran 🇺🇸

Thank you Zach for allowing me to share the experience with you. This is what it’s all about!

🎯 🦌 Wyatt laid the smack down on this Muskingum county buck!!!

This one was one to remember! We received a call from Josh (dad), who told us he had a pretty excited 7-year-old boy who had just taken a shot at his first ever whitetail deer. Josh was pretty confident Wyatt had delivered on a great shot, and they got good blood to start the search. But given this was going to be Wyatt's first deer, they backed out and called us in.

After a short survey of the area, we confirmed the animal, GPS coordinates, and then confirmed he had expired.

We had the opportunity to go with Wyatt to assist in the field recovery. Such an awesome experience to see his reaction when he finally got his hands around this 8-point stud!

Another one in the books! 🦌🔥
Got the call last night and went out with the thermal — didn’t take long before we had this Licking County buck dialed in and recovered.

Upon arriving and speaking with Paul and Tim, we were able to pinpoint a rough area for searching. They lost blood on this buck in the grass waterway that bordered 3 corn fields. Tim mentioned he might have tucked into one of the fields, and sure enough, we found him 3 rows in, not far from the initial shot. Always a great feeling helping hunters finish the job!

Congrats to Timothy Bates on this awesome Ohio buck! Shoutout to Battle-Scarred Outdoors and Licking County DIY Whitetails for making these veteran hunts possible.
