Hummingbirds are still out!
🐦✨ Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are our most common hummingbird, and August is an especially active time as adults and young birds fuel up for fall migration.
Keep feeders clean and filled with a simple nectar mix: 1 part white sugar to 4 parts water—no red dye needed. In hot weather, refresh nectar every few days, and don’t take feeders down too early; leaving them up will not delay migration.
Tip: Plant or look for nectar-rich flowers such as bee balm, salvia, cardinal flower, and trumpet vine, and enjoy these tiny visitors while they’re here! 🌺

Our supplier is temporarily short on traditional white safflower seed. Good news: we now carry Nutrisaff (Golden Safflower) as a premium substitute! 🌻🐦
What is Nutrisaff?
A special “golden” safflower made just for bird feeding. It has a much thinner hull (about 40% thinner) and no hard white shell, so birds can open and digest it more easily.
