Bookworm is delighted to welcome a remarkable new voice in poetry in our publication series 💛

When Dead Birds See the Light is the debut collection by Vietnamese poet Quynh Nguyen , a tender exploration of love in all its forms. From the quiet comfort of waking beside someone you love on a slow Sunday morning to the lingering ache of those who have left but never truly disappear, these poems move through joy, grief, longing, and hope with honesty and grace. Above all, they remind us that choosing love always means choosing vulnerability.

Living and working in Saigon, Quynh Nguyen writes and thinks in both Vietnamese and English, moving between the two languages with curiosity and wonder. When Dead Birds See the Light marks the beginning of her poetic journey, introducing a fresh voice that is intimate, reflective, and deeply heartfelt.

Hope Quynh's poetry debut find her way on your shelf and to your heart ⭐️🌻

Readers come in all kinds, but one thing many of us share is a Wordsworth Classic on our shelves. 🤓
Known for its affordable editions of timeless literature, the British publisher takes its name from the great Romantic poet William Wordsworth. Today, we'd love to introduce another gem from their catalogue: the Wordsworth Poetry Library, a series that brings together some of the finest voices in English poetry. 📜📎

In the preface to Lyrical Ballads (1800), William Wordsworth posed the question, "What is a poet?" then answered it with one of the most enduring definitions of poetry: "Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility."
Poetry gives language to what often feels beyond words. It preserves fleeting moments, gives shape to memory and longing, and reminds us of the emotions that connect us across time. In just a handful of lines, a poem can comfort, challenge, or change the way we see the world, and ourselves. 🌱

Whether you're already a devoted poetry reader or simply curious to discover the art form, books from the Wordsworth Poetry Library is the companion! Featuring British and American poets across the centuries, Shakespeare, Keats, Dickinson, etc., the series offers everything from classic sonnets and lyrical ballads to powerful verses. One of the joys of a poetry collection is that there's no single way to read it. Open it at any page, or savor it from cover to cover.

⏭️ Swipe through for a few of our favorite poems from the series, with words from W. B. Yeats, Walt Whitman, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Christina Rossetti, and Thomas Hardy.

🙌 We'd love to hear your favorites! Share a poet or poem you cherish, and let's spread the beauty of poetry ~ ✨🩷💛🧡

As Obsession and Backrooms are taking the world by storm, the horror genre is (finally!) having its moment. 🫣

For fans who want to experience the feeling in a different medium, we've picked out two books with the same unsettling atmosphere. 👣🕸️🪔
📖 Piranesi by Susanna Clarke evokes the eeriness of an endless labyrinth, where memory fades and reality unravels.
📖 The Collector by John Fowles is a chilling psychological classic about obsession, control, and the terrifying line between love and possession.
