The forecast is for fine but windy weather this Saturday. So far we have been lucky with the weather. Let's pray our luck holds out. Our new opening hours are 8:30am to 2pm ... an hour later that usual. Mandy and I are looking forward to the extra hour sleep in ... and the stallholders are too! See you very soon.

Great news for all lovers of the Rye Foreshore Market.

It has been confirmed by the Shire that the carnival will NOT be operating over this Easter. This may not great news for some, but for our market lovers and our stallholders it certainly is ... as vehicles are allowed on site.

We are hoping that our Easter market, Saturday the 4th April, is even better than the March market.

The carnival site is perfect ... great visibility from Point Nepean Road, fantastic parking, close to the beach and shops ... and most importantly next to the fabulous redeveloped playground site. What more could you ask for in a community market.

Sorry to say that we have not been able negotiate with the Shire to find a suitable alternative to our carnival site location. Works are due to be completed in December so we will keep you posted. We certainly will do our best to return.

We are very sorry to say that there will be no Rye Foreshore Market this Saturday. The carparks on both sides of the pier and a large section of the carnival site have been blocked off.

The Shire is building bigger and better car parking facilities on the carnival site side and expanding the grassy area on the playground side. The plans look great and are scheduled to be complete in December so we are hopeful of returning to a much improved site then.

In the meantime, stay warm and dry ... and please consider attending the Rosebud Markets on the second Sunday of the month (tomorrow) and the second Saturday of the month ... with stallholders fees going to very worthy causes.
