I used a pink and orange jerkbait last night and got at least 6 bumps but never set the hook. Steve caught at least 6 walleyes and he used pinks and golds. Equals Em is airbrushing pink and gold!!!! 💓💓💓🐟💓💓💓

Who else was out all day on opening day?! We made a video of our day. I’m really excited for this season, what a difference a year can be. The rivers were so low last year and this year they’re raging!

I love tying jigs. Here are some of my favorite things to do while tying!

1.) keep a sharp pair of scissors and cut the bucktail into a blunt end.

2.) keep a trash can at your feet to catch trimmings.

3.) when tying around the collar I like to go down with the thread overlapping in a neat pattern. Then up with a lot of space in between so there’s tons of texture. My number one obstacle was learning how to stop my bucktail from shedding!

4.) I wrap twice and then use my thumbnail to evenly disperse the fur.

5.) I use 2 tufts but sometimes up to 4 depending on the weight of the jig
