Gave this under the sink space a total glow-up to make it actually functional 🙌 Added soft-close slide-outs, lined everything with fresh contact paper, and turned those fake top drawers into a hidden shelf for easy-access storage.

Over break I had so many projects planned, but like most things.. it just didn’t work out that way. Started Christmas break out sick for over a week. Although it I was only able to really focus on one project because of that, I’m proud to say I completed at least one thing.
Refinishing furniture has been a hobby of mine for many years now. I’ve tried many different paints and techniques. So many videos make these techniques look simple, when the reality is refinishing furniture is a lot of work.
Next time you try to bargain with someone over a beautifully refinished piece, remember how much work has gone into that piece to make it perfect.

This dresser was old and outdated. It has held up nicely for me over 20 years to be an average piece of furniture. I decided to take off some of the wood decorations, strip off the stain and make it appear like raw wood. Since it’s not all solid wood I had to be careful stripping and sanding. As always, I did not get a before picture.

* Citristrip
* DeWalt orbital sander
* Surfprep sander (my favorite)
* Dixie Belle color burlap (wash)
* Dixie Belle color French Linen (wash)
* Varathane Polyurethane water based in Satin
