A year of growing fleece… and one very big haircut! 🦙✂️

Come behind the scenes for shearing day at Jacamar Alpacas—from bringing the girls in from the paddock to their fresh new looks afterwards.

Annual shearing is an important part of their care, helping keep them comfortable as the weather warms up. It’s also where the journey from beautiful fleece to alpaca yarn and clothing begins. 🤍

And yes, a little pedicure is included! 💅

Who else thinks they look like completely different alpacas afterwards? 😂
