As you all know, we’re hosting our Andy’s Man Club event this weekend, and everyone is welcome to come along, whether you fancy fishing, having a chat, or simply spending some time with everyone. It’s completely free of charge.

The weekend will feature an informal Andy’s Man Club session on Sunday afternoon, along with a BBQ and refreshments. The session is a relaxed, judgement-free space where people can talk openly if they want to. It’s a “share if you want to”style discussion, hosted by Andy’s Man Club representatives, with absolutely no pressure to speak.

If you’re planning on attending and would like to fish, please drop us a message.

There’s absolutely no pressure to fish either, you’re more than welcome to simply come along on Sunday, grab some food, have a drink and a chat, and spend some time with everyone.

We all know how busy life can be. There never seem to be enough hours in the day or days in the week.

That’s why, when the opportunity comes around, you’ve got to make the most of it and go fishing!

Whether it’s a quick day session or a full week on the bank, you never know what might happen. It only takes a second to catch a fish!!

👌🏼ANDY'S MAN CLUB👌🏼

We are proud to be hosting an Andy’s Man Club Event at Enigma Lakes, sponsored by Enigma Baits, from Saturday 15th August (8am) until Sunday 16th August (5pm). Enigma Baits is funding 14 anglers, from or affiliated with Andy’s Man Club, to spend the weekend fishing for free, with an emphasis solely on the physical and mental health benefits of angling. All proceeds – £630 – will then be donated to Andy’s Man Club.

By opening up all 14 pegs, we raise the levels of inclusivity and support, with each angler able to socialise with the individual next to them. If the event is in high demand, or personal circumstances dictate, we can facilitate ‘buddying up’ on pegs – a rod each, or just to have a friend, loved one or support figure around. The weekend will feature an informal AMC session with an accompanying BBQ and refreshments, held on the Sunday afternoon. Anglers can chat without inhibitions or judgement – essentially a ‘share if you want to’ discussion, hosted by AMC reps, with no pressure to speak. Each individual participating in the event will receive and Andy’s Man Club.

Enigma Lakes, Enigma Baits and Andy’s Man Club will capture moments, if the angler feels comfortable, of the weekend to discuss how angling benefits mental health, shining a positive light on the sport.

Anglers will receive a take-home support pack, and free merchandise will be available so anglers can wear a piece that encapsulates how angling and mental health can combine for good.

As part of the event, Enigma Lakes Ltd to donate 10 x day tickets to AMC, which can be handed out to those who feel angling would benefit their mental health.🎣

🐽BAIT APPLICATION🐽

When the water warms up, less is often more!

A common mistake in summer is piling in too much bait. Fish have an abundance of natural food available, so overbaiting can easily kill your swim and affect water quality.
Instead, focus on accurate baiting with small amounts. PVA bags are a brilliant option, they present a tight parcel of attraction right around your hookbait without filling the fish up or giving it too many options.

Filming with was very much an eye opener for us on how the carp actually feed!🎣

Well... the fish are hungry!
The carp have been feeding incredibly well lately and really piling on the pounds. It's easy to focus on the new 20-pounders that have been hitting the bank, but there's something else that's just as exciting.

Many of the fish that were stocked at low to mid-teens are now weighing up to 4lb more than they did back in March. That's some impressive growth in such a short space of time!

A combination of high-quality feed, strong genetics, and excellent water quality is clearly paying off, and the results speak for themselves!

If they keep growing at this rate, we can't wait to see just how many 20s we'll have by the end of the year! 🎣🎣

• The Youngsters •

Once again, our youngest ambassador, Archie, is showing everyone how it's done with these absolute bangers! Both fish fell to the Enigma Baits Multi-Mix fished in solid PVA bags.

That’s another two fish added to Archie’s tally, taking him to an impressive 15 fish on his Enigma campaign. Despite already landing some incredible carp, he's still got his sights set on plenty more special captures.

Archie is a brilliant young angler who is quickly becoming a role model for many. More and more anglers are turning to him for advice, and he's always happy to help. We've had the pleasure of watching Archie's angling journey since March, and there's no doubt in our minds that he has an incredibly bright future ahead.

His hard work, dedication, and determination are qualities to be admired and it's an honour to have him on the team! Those 30lbers are only a matter of time, mate...keep smashing it! 🎣

Like many people, we have fond memories of this venue from its days as Carpvale Doubles.
Seeing it decline over the years was heartbreaking, and when the opportunity arose to purchase it, we were determined to give it a new future.

Since then, we’ve worked hard to restore and reimagine the space while respecting the history that made it so special to so many.

We hope that Enigma becomes a place people can fall in love with, creating new memories for years to come🎣

🎣 ENIGMA COMPETITION 🎣

Part 2...

The competition was very tight right until the very end, with over 20 fish landed and another 10 lost, including what we believe could have been one of the Enigma 30s... 👀

A massive congratulations to everyone who took part, but especially , who took home the Most Fish Caught trophy and prize! They both worked their socks off, kept the fish in the area, stuck to their guns even with Max and Dan breathing down their necks, and it paid off. A thoroughly deserved win! We hope the new sleep systems treat you well! 👏

Little Hearn ( )... what a way to end the blanking streak! ...BIGGEST FISH – 24.02lb! If you're going to turn up, that's the time to do it! He's put in so much hard work with us over the last few months across a number of pegs, and he absolutely deserved that fish. The only problem now is you've got to break that new rod curse after winning three brand-new Nash Scopes! 👀

... what could have been! 👀
He took home the Unluckiest Angler award after losing two fish, including an absolute chunk that would've put him in front at the time... and to top it all off, he forgot his glasses and got found out he didn't get a job he'd applied for🤦‍♂️Fair play to the lad! He battled through, found your spots, and kept the fish coming even when you could barely see a thing! The irony? He then went on to win Best Looking Fish, as voted for by the other competitors!

We absolutely loved this weekend, so there's no doubt we'll be doing it all again soon!

A huge thank you to for sorting us out with three 10ft Nash Scopes, and to England Angling for providing the Trakker sleep system. The icing on the cake was, of course, the Enigma Baits bundle! Even the blankers didn't go home empty-handed! 👀

Thanks again to everyone who came, supported us, and made the first Enigma Competition one to remember. Roll on the next one! 🎣
