Avel Sound Concept is a small Singapore based workshop specialised in high quality, affordable saxop when contacting me. No guess work here.

ProduAvel Sound Concept offers full saxophone mouthpiece refacing and modifications with a choice of Radial (free blowing, “modern” sound) curves, Elliptical (more resistance, “vintage” feel/sound, resistance can be dialed-in to a certain extent) or Power Curve, thick/thin tip rail & side rails, short/medium/long facing length, etc. Please state your preferences (if any) and provide a description

of your set-up (saxophone brand/model, reed brand/model/strength, etc. My facing curves are computer generated to perfectly match your chosen tip opening and facing length. I can accommodate any facing length and tip opening combination you prefer. The resulting facing curve will be a perfect match for the best possible playing experience. I play test all mouthpieces before I send them back to you. This process involves a lot of communication to fully understand your playing style, your goals, your expectations and the problems your are experiencing with your set-up.ct/Service

We’re moving! 🇸🇬 → 🇲🇾

After an incredible 17 years journey in Singapore, Avel Sound Concept is relocating to Malaysia in April.

✨ Taking orders in Singapore until 15th February
✨ Back in action from Kuala Lumpur at the end of April

Super excited for this next chapter and can’t wait to meet the Malaysian saxophone community and start building new connections.

🔥 Introducing the ASC Simoom🔥

The latest soprano saxophone mouthpiece from Avel Sound Concept.

Crafted from hard rubber, the ASC is the result of a long development process and hours spent chasing a very specific sound. The final design features a long, rounded, high baffle flowing into a large chamber. It isn’t inspired by any existing mouthpiece; instead, the real influence comes from the sound of Middle‑Eastern clarinet players: rich, vocal, expressive.

The result of that journey? A deep and dark core with just the right amount of zing to cut when needed. Flexible, responsive, and surprisingly versatile across genres — from jazz and contemporary to more experimental textures.

Why the name Simoon?
The simoom is a powerful, hot, dry, dust‑laden wind blowing across the Sahara and the deserts of the Arabian Peninsula. Intense, raw, and full of character — exactly the spirit behind this piece.
