Warning: you’re about to meet Simoné. 😏
She is not a “we’ll just leave it like that” person.
If something is 3 mm out of place, she will see it. If the purple is the wrong purple, she will see it. If you were told to remove one thing from a design and decided to “improve” six other things while you were there… may God be with you. 😂
She has approximately 47 projects running simultaneously and somehow knows exactly what is happening with every one of them. One minute she’s making Grade 2 multiplication worksheets, the next she’s researching a court judgment, designing a tumbler, sorting out a printer, writing a school project, and selling perfume on TikTok.
Do not mistake “Can you just quickly…” for something that will actually be quick.
She is extremely specific. “Keep everything exactly the same” means EVERYTHING. EXACTLY. THE. SAME. It does not mean “use your artistic interpretation.”
Also, never underestimate her ability to notice something microscopic: “Move it slightly.” “No, slightly back.” “Make the writing bigger.” “Not that big.” “Remove that.” “Why did you change the background?” “I said keep everything else the same.”
She has strong teacher energy, business-owner energy, designer energy and I-will-figure-this-out-myself-if-you-don’t-help-me-properly energy all operating at the same time.
She will turn an idea into a product, the product into an advert, the advert into a TikTok post, and then suddenly remember that she needs a Grade 4 oral for tomorrow.
And whatever you do, do not give her 9 words when she asked for 10. She will count them.
Basically: be accurate, follow the instructions, don't unnecessarily change things, and you'll get along perfectly.
Ignore the instructions?
You’re about to receive:
“No.”
And somehow that one word will tell you everything. 😂
