There is nothing quite like receiving a video from a proud parent of their Grade R child reading fluently! 🥹📚❤️
But what makes us even prouder is how they got there.
At Literacy Lab, we don’t simply teach children to memorise words. We build the foundations first; pre-reading skills, phonemic awareness, sound recognition, phonics and then spelling. 🧠
When children understand the sounds, patterns and structure of words, they can decode, spell and ultimately read.
Our goal is to teach children to read for understanding, not to read from memory.
True reading isn’t about saying the words…
