Meet Daniélle, the face behind The Pretty Pansy

Hi, I’m Daniélle, the owner, designer, maker, packer, problem-solver and probably the biggest fan of The Pretty Pansy.

But before The Pretty Pansy existed, there was Handmade by Daniélle.

Back in 2020, at the peak of Covid, I started making things simply because I wanted to create. It all began with a little crocheted Baby Yoda that I made as a gift. One Baby Yoda quickly turned into an entire collection of Disney characters… because apparently, one was never going to be enough. 😂

The only problem? Each character took a minimum of 13 hours to make. And while I absolutely loved creating them, my shoulder was very much filing its resignation.

Then, one day while doom-scrolling through social media, I came across a lady making the most
GORGEOUS keychains. And something clicked.

I remembered that a friend’s sister was selling her “vintage” Silhouette machine. So, naturally, I bought it.

And that little decision became the beginning of the journey from Handmade by Daniélle to what is now The Pretty Pansy.

Today, I still do everything myself.

Yes. Me. Myself and I. 😂

From the initial idea and designing, to creating, printing, cutting, assembling, finishing, packing and finally sending your order off to you, every single part is handmade by me.

The Pretty Pansy has grown and changed over the years, but the heart of it has stayed exactly the same: I get to create things that make people happy.

I get to turn an idea in my head into something you can hold in your hands. I get to play with colours, designs, paper and all the little details that make something feel *just right*. Most importantly, I get to share a little piece of my creativity with all of you.

And I genuinely love what I do.

So, whether you've been here since the Baby Yoda days, discovered me somewhere along the way, or have only just found The Pretty Pansy...
